Michael D. Benningfield, age 60, of Bogata, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Regency Healthcare Center.
Mike was born March 2, 1952, in Clarksville to R.A. and Juanita Presley Benningfield. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mike received his degree in Higher Education and was an instructor in the Math Department at Paris Junior College. He was an avid musician and was the lead guitarist and vocalist for his local band, "Crossfire Band".
Graveside services are schedulded for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7, Monday night at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include his life partner, Lillie White of Bogata; his sister and brother in law, Pamela and Mike Russell of Clarksville; 3 step children, Patrick White of Bogata, John Davis of Texarkana and Julie Flatt and husband Michael of Blossom; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mike Russell, Dr. Michael Russell II, Robby Russell, Patrick White and Austin White.
