Mrs. Mamie Clarice Davis, 66, died at 8:35 pm Mon. 8 Mar [1965] at her home at Donansburg after a long illness. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Besides her husband, E.W. "Washie" Davis, she is survived by 1 son, Hubert Davis and 3 daughters, Mrs. Wayne Higgason, Mrs. K.D. Stewart and Mrs. Albert Smith, all of Greensburg. She is also survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Ellen Darnell, Louisville; 3 brothers, Waller Cook, Danville, Ky., Leslie E. and Buford Cook, both of Indianapolis and 7 grandchildren. Services were held at the Macedonia Baptist Church at 11:00 am Thurs. 11 Mar with burial in the Macedonia Cem. Rev. Claude McCubbins and Rev. R.A. Slinker officiated. Pallbearers were Van Higgason, Henry Leslie Foster, Odeen Warf, Dale Hedgespeth, Danny Hall and Lester Henderson.
