She was born May 28, 1924 in Pike County, Indiana, the daughter of Stephen Dale and Addie Ficklin Roberson. She married Luther W. Coomer on November 16, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Coomer on November 26, 2007; 3 great grandchildren and 3 brothers, Clifford, Don and Dennis Paul Roberson.
She Is survived by 2 daughters, Phyllis (Jim) Johnson and Lucretia Faye Coomer; a son, Melvin Coomer; daughter-in-law, Betty Coomer, sister, Marilyn (Robert) Waggoner; 14 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
