Obit: Charles L. Coomer, 65, Frankfort, died at 10:10 p.m. November 26, 2007, in St. Vincent Hospital unexpectedly.

Mr. Coomer was a 1960 graduate of Frankfort High School. After graduation, he was owner-operator of Coomer Construction Company, and since 1978 has been owner-operator of Coomer & Sons Sawmill. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed antique cars, boating, camping, his work and especially his family.

Mr. Coomer was born September 15, 1942, in Petersburg to Luther and Kathleen Roberson Coomer. He married Betty Rader on February 11, 1961, and she survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Frankfort; four sons, Dennis (Pauline), Jeff (Kathleen) and and Chris (Shannon), all of Frankfort, and Kevin (Myra) of Colfax; a daughter, Michelle (Michael) Akard of Frankfort; two sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Johnson of Francesville and Faye Coomer of Rensselaer; a brother, Melvin of Terre Haute; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

His father and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
