James Fred Alderman, 84, of Draper, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, in the LewisGale Pulaski Hospital. He was born in Carroll County on January 17, 1932, to the late Jesse Alderman and Bessie Montgomery Alderman.

He worked as a dyehouse supervisor for Klopman Mills. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church.

Surviving are, wife, Jean Alderman; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Brian Stone; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sarah Alderman, Brad and Susan Alderman; sisters, Evelyn Carter and Carolyn Gibbs; grandchildren, Kasey Alderman Edwards, Elizabeth Alderman Bishop, Derek Joseph Alderman, Sarah Catherine Alderman, Peyton Franklin Stone, Samuel Bennett Stone, Carolyn Alderman Gibbs; great-grandchild, Abigail Bishop.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Rorrer officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Gardner Cemetery, Carroll County with the V.F.W. Post # 1184 conducting graveside rites. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at Stevens Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m., Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, (540) 980-2600.
