Clyde Myron Anderson, 94, passed away on September 22, 2012. He was born on July 26, 1918, in College Ward, Cache County, Utah to Andrew Wesley Anderson and Mary Standley. He married Wanda Berger on March 26, 1941, in the Logan Temple.
He graduated from South Cache High School. He worked as a Brakeman for the Union Pacific Railroad. Graduated from barber school. He also worked for Newspaper Agency, mostly in delivery. Proudly served in the United States Army in the occupation forces in Japan 1945-1946. He drove school bus for the Granite School District. He worked for the Salt Lake County Recreation Department as a grounds keeper for several ball diamonds, a scorekeeper and as an announcer at regional/national tournaments.
He served Two Missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with his wife as his companion to Tallahassee, Florida, and the Hawaii Temple Visitor's Center. He served as a temple worker in Jordan River Temple for many years. Clyde loved sports, music, drama, and had a fun sense for humor. He is loved and respected by his family and friends. He had 5 children: Myron E. Anderson, deceased, (Joyce), Maxine Yagues (Jay), Ronald L. Anderson, deceased, (Linda),Gordon L. Anderson (Marlene), Deborah DeLaMare (Philip).
He is survived by his sister, Verla Maynes, 3 children, 25 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife of 68 years, 8 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 sons, 1 son-in-law, 2 grandsons and1 great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012, 12 noon at the Wells Ward, 1990 South 500 East, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held beginning at 10:30 am prior to services.
