Verla Mary Anderson Maynes, 86, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2014 with family by her side.

She was born July 9, 1927 in College Ward, Utah to Andrew Wesley and Mary Standley Anderson.

She married her sweetheart, Robert Despain Maynes, on November 24, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She retired from food service at the U of U Union Building. She held a variety of callings in the church throughout her life. Her favorite hobby was to crochet afghans for her grandchildren and other family members. She will be greatly missed by all however, we know she is happy back with her sweetheart.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), with a viewing one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
