Geraldine Bunch Brinkley, 85, of Broken Bow, passed away September 26, 2012 in Paris, Texas.

She was born March 11, 1927 in Broken Bow, the daughter of S.I. and Elsie Todd Bunch. Geraldine had lived in McCurtain County most of her life and was a retired Hairdresser. She was a member of the Lukfata Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, fixing hair, and listening to music.

Gearldine and Douglas Brinkley were united in marriage on January 3, 1944 in Morenci, Arizona and he preceded her in death on September 18, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Bret Brinkley; her siblings, Dale Bunch, Johnnie Mae Smith, Howard Bunch, Hazel Shoults, Suel F. Bunch and Bea Brock.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Laura Nell Brinkley of Idabel; daughter, Donna Brinkley of Broken Bow; grandchildren, David Brinkley and wife Melissa of Idabel, Tawsha Davenport and husband Aaron of Broken Bow, Brawna Gfeller and husband Eric of Edmond, Oklahoma and Shawn Phillips of Coppell, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Brinkley Penniman, Bree Ann Brinkley Campbell, Isabella Hubbard, Jace Brinkley, Alyssa Hubbard, Tristan Gfeller, Collin Hubbard, Tate Hubbard, Connor Phillips, Zoe Gfeller and Merrick Davenport; great-great-grandson, Jaxon Penniman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2pm at Bunch-Singleton Chapel with Larry Brinkley and Wade Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery under the direction of Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home of Broken Bow.
