Jacob Gerrits (or Garrison), Sr bp 14 Oct 1646 New Amsterdam Dutch Ch, died 1708 Salem Co, NJ to whence he had moved c1691, having previously lived in New Utrecht and at least from 1688 on Staten Island.  His surname was variously given in records as Gerritse/ Gerritsen/Garrison, de Muffe and de haes/Haas/Hause.  He married c1673 Christina Cresson, daughter of Pierre Cresson and Rachel Clossé/Claus, and widow of Jean Letelier.
