John Philpott married Sidney MONROE in Henry Co Va Dec 1 1815. They migrated to Ky soon after and John purchased his first land in Cumberland Co Dec 13, 1816( This is the same time frame as the Sarah Price / John Hunter family that were their neighbors) John died about Oct 1 1839 and his personal property was appraised Oct 4 1839. Sidney MONROE died May 1871 and her estate was appraised 18 May 1871. Cumberland Co records were somewhat destroyed in a fire 1933 but records that do exist show their family;
