Mr. Claude Bryant Inscoe, 76, a resident of 2816 Holbrook St., died Thursday at Duke University Hospital.
Mr. Inscoe was a lifelong resident of Durham and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he was
employed for 40 years. He was the son of the late Genada and Bessie Blalock Inscoe.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Mr. Bobby Inscoe and a granddaughter, April Henderson.
He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the church Dartball Team, the Cokesbury Sunday
School Class and served as the church Treasurer for 20 years. At the time of his death, Mr. Inscoe was
serving as Treasurer of the Church Trustees. He was also a member of the Association of Retired Federal
Employees.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Methodist Church by Rev. Clinton W.
Spence and Rev. Mark D. Stephens. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive
friends at Clements Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Mary Frances Wilson Inscoe; a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Inscoe Pittman
and husband James; a son, Mr. Donald Inscoe and wife Nellie; one sister, Mrs. Frances White of Durham;
four brothers; Harry Inscoe, Malcolm Mac Inscoe, and Bobby Inscoe, all of Durham, and Jack Inscoe of
Myrtle Beach, SC; one granddaughter, Jennifer Velasquez of Enfield, NC; and two great grandchildren,
Tyler and Jennifer Velasquez also of Enfield, NC.

Flowers are acceptable, or friends may make Memorial Contributions to St. Paul United Methodist Church,
2700 N. Roxboro Rd, Durham, NC 27704.
