Frances, also known as "Sister" to her six brothers. The second oldest of seven children and the only girl, she played a central role in the extended Inscoe family. She graduated from Durham High School in 1938 and worked for the Morris Plan Bank until her marriage to Deral West Hamilton of Aurora, NC. They had two children, Deral West Hamilton, Jr, and Elizabeth Lynn Hamilton. After her husband's death in World War II, she married Worth C. White of Durham. They had one son, Kent Bradley White. After her retirement from Wachovia Bank in 1976, Frances devoted herself for several years to the care of her mother, Fannie Blalock Inscoe. Frances was active in church life, at Branson Memorial Methodist Church, Wellons Village Methodist Church, and the Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham. She was "Aunt Frances" to many nieces and nephews and later their children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Genada Bryant Inscoe and Fannie Blalock Inscoe, and brothers Malcolm, Claude, Jack, and Bobby. She is survived by sons, Deral Hamilton of Durham, Kent White; her daughter, Lynn Hamilton; five grandchildren, Amy Bunn of Durham, Brad Snyder, Leigh Snyder, Sophie and David White; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth "Betsy".
