Mr. Bedgood was born in Goldonna and had lived in Madison Parish for the past 62 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Bedgood of Tallulah; four daughters, Betty Hammond of Calhoun, Dora Antley of Bastrop, Joyce Diel of West Monroe and Linda Lewis of Epps; six sons, Steven Albert Bedgood and Edward Bedgood, both of Jonesboro, Henry Bedgood, Melvin Bedgood Sr., Ronnie Bedgood Sr. and Steve Bedgood, all of Tallulah; three sisters, Lessie Hodge and Laverne Beaird, both of Tallulah and Iowella Henry of Berwick; two brothers, Bill Bedgood and Everett Bedgood, both of Tallulah; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons Jim Diel, Tracey Diel, Harvey Hammond Jr., Herbert Bedgood, Melvin Bedgood Jr., Elvin Lewis, Roger Bedgood and Ron Bedgood Jr.
