Abraham Yeakel was born in Philadelphia County, PA on March 14, 1752, the fourth of six children of Christopher Yeakle and Maria Schultz. Abraham was born 18 years after Christopher and Maria had arrived in Pennsylvania on the ship Saint Andrew on the voyage that brought the third migration of Schwenkfelders to America.
Abraham Yeakel married Sarah Wagner on October 10, 1776. Sarah was born 2/11/1756, the fourth of six children of Christopher Wagner and Susanna Heebner.
Abraham and Sarah had seven children:
• Isaac, born 11/9/1777, married Regina Schultz
• Samual, born 2/26/1779, died in infancy
• Jacob, born 9/29/1780, married Gertrude Urffer
• Susannah, born 11/11/1782, married Christopher Schultz
• Maria, born 9/4/1784, married David Urffer
• Christopher, born 5/21/1787
Abraham and Sarah resided in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on a farm at the foot of Chestnut Hill that Abraham bought from his father in 1783.
Abraham Yeakel died June 17, 1841 at the age of 89.
