JANESVILLE— Adah R. Buros, 94, of 2116 Conway Dr., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at Meadow Park Health Care Center. She was born on March 21, 1910, in Hewitt, MN, the daughter of Orr and Emma (Silbaugh) Chaffee. She attended Vernon Co. Normal School and was a teacher in Rockton and Manning, WI, before her marriage to Marvin P. Buros on March 6, 1933, in Winona, MN. Mr. Buros died on Dec. 24, 1988. She and Marvin farmed near Manning, WI, for many years. Following retirement they lived on the Mississippi River for 10 years and wintered in Florida. Adah had been a Janesville resident since 1979. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Adah loved her Lord and her family. She played the church organ, sang in the choir, and taught piano in Viola, WI. She also enjoyed cooking, painting and needlecrafts. Adah is survived by 3 daughters: Judy Teubert of Edgerton, Jean (Ted) Ledman of West Salem, WI, and Laura (Ron) Winger of Janesville; a son, James (Therese) Buros of Madison; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Vernon Chaffee of DeSoto, WI, and Harlon Chaffee of Hiawatha, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, Merle and Ara Chaffee; and a sister, Mamie Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
