Emily "Louise" Parker, 82, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be officiated by endeared nephews, Tommy and John Simons. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Emily "Louise" Parker was born in East Texas on Oct. 6, 1929. She was a farm girl who traded cotton picking for rose bushes. She only loved one man, Buddy, before and after his passing 19 years ago. Survivors: Her daughters, Betty Lawdermilk and Bonnie Steward; sons, Joe Parker and Jerry Parker, along with their spouses who loved her company; and a whole passel of grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids; sisters, Clo Griffith, Geniece McCarty, Ruby Simons; and brother, John Feagin. Also, many loving nieces and nephews along with generations of kids that she and Buddy taught in Sunday school for many years.
