Funeral services for Ray Patterson, who lived at 121 Silver Street, were held last Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Okolona Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Lee Memorial Park Cemetery with Okolona Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Patterson, who was 72 years of age, died on Wednesday morning of last week in the Okolona Community Hospital.
A retired policeman, Mr. Patterson had made his home in Okolona for 43 years. He was born AUgust 13, 1906 in Lee County. He was a member of the Carnation Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Annie Mae Patterson of Okolona; two daughters, Martha Ann Mitchell and Fannie Sue Chaney, three sons, Jimmy Patterson, Paul Patterson and Hal Patterson, all of Okolona; four sisters, Mrs. Gerdie Braziel, Mrs. Annie Ellis,Mrs. Annis Stegall and Miss Lola Patterson, all of Okolona; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
