As a child, Sam traveled to Chandler AZ, with his parents, by wagon from Co to Chandler AZ.

Sam during his lifetime was a Carpenter, Builder, Cabinet Maker and General Foreman on high profile projects like the Phoenix Fair Grounds, Completed December 1935. Still used for multi events, such as Fair's, Rodeo's, etc. Additionally he worked on the Roosevelt Dam Project early in his life before Marriage to Ruby Martin.
