Alfred Charles, aged 11 years and 9 months, died of Bright's disease Monday evening, after about a month's illness at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cassiday, in Sherman township.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Sherman schoolhouse. Interment in Sherman cemetery.
Alfred was an unusually bright and promising lad, well liked by all who knew him. Only the memory of the lovely boy is left, yet how sweet, how uplifting its influence. For after all death is but the slipping off of the outer body. Of everyt ear the sorrowing shed on such green graves, some good is born, some gentler nature comes. Gladwin County Record dated 11-13/1913 Column - 4 Page - 5.
