Samuel M. "Sam" Blinn, 69, of Bluffton, IN, passed away at 9:45 PM on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Norwood Nursing Center in Huntington, IN. He was born on Sunday, January 31, 1943, in Wells County, IN, to Merole and Ethel "Foust" Blinn. Sam graduated from the Jackson Township High School Class of 1961. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving for many years. Sam had been overseas in Vietnam where he was awarded two Purple Hearts. He had also been and ROTC instructor.
