WARREN—Ethel M. Blinn, 89, of 8976 South 1100 West-90, Warren, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, June 22, 1992, at the Methodist Home in Warren.

She was a former school teacher in Grant County and White’s Institute in Wabash County. She was a graduate of Indiana Normal School in Muncie and Marion College in Marion.

She was born Dec. 12, 1902, in Franklin Township in Grant County to Edward and Minnie (Dragstrem) Foust. On Dec. 27, 1924, she married Merle A. Blinn. He preceded her in death in July, 1972.

She was a member of the Mississinewa Chapter 94 of the Order of the Eastern Star; she was past matron of the Van Buren Eastern Star; a member of the Marion General Hospital Auxiliary; a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church; and she attended the Dillman United Brethren Church. She was also a member of the Dillman United Brethren Ladies Aid and a member of the Jackson Extension Homemakers Club in Wells County.

Surviving are: four sons—James E., John D., and Jerry A., all of Warren; Samuel M. of Bellbuckle, Tenn; four daughters—Mrs. Rebecca Hicks of Marion; Mrs. Bonita Pearson of Plymouth; Mary Lou Blinn of New Haven and Doris Blinn of Warren; three sisters—Mrs. Ruth Rennaker of Kokomo; Mrs. Dorothy Rennaker and Mrs. Martha Porter, both of Marion; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
