Don Roger "Rog" Snyder, of Byron, Wyoming passed away peacefully on September 21, 2012 in Powell, Wyoming Nursing Home at the age of 89. He was born in Grass Creek, Wyoming.

Rog graduated from Byron High School in 1941. After graduation, he relocated to Southern California to work in the defense industry to help support the war effort. After the war, he ventured back to his beloved Wyoming where he worked in various positions in the oil fields throughout Wyoming and Colorado. He returned to Byron in 1964 and retired in 1987.

Rog is survived by his wife Lois of 46 years and their daughter Gene Marie, and his children, Donna (Larry) Roberts of Spokane, Washington; Kim (Jan) Snyder of Glendale, Arizona; LouAnn Brovick (Brett Lies) of Maple Grove, Minnesota; Lesley (Jim) Bring of Galesburg, North Dakota; Tracy (Jim) Stenerson of Fargo, North Dakota; and Kirk (Betty) Snyder of Lovell, Wyoming. Rog is also survived by his nephew Jon (Beri) Brown of Evanston, Wyoming; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He loved his children and grandchildren very much.

Rog loved to fish and tell stories of his adventures in pursuit of the big one that got away. He had a multitude of fishing buddies that he loved to fish with. No trip to the lake was without a story of some kind which he would gladly share with you. Rog was known for his humor and quick wit.

Memorial Service will be held at United Methodist Church in Lovell, Wyoming, at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 24, 2012. Interment will follow immediately after the service at the Byron Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell was in charge of arrangements.
