Mr. John Aiton of Glenwood, a former resident of Alexandria, died at the residence of his son, W. J. Aiton, in Reno, last Friday morning, aged about 66 years. Mr. Aiton had been in poor health for a long time and had failed rapidly during the past few months. He had in former years been engaged as a contractor and builder, and had a large acquaintance and many friends throughout this section, whose esteem was attested to by an unusually large attendance at his funeral last Sunday.
