Mrs.Nannie I Giffin,widow of Rev.David O.Giffin, died Monday morning at 2:30 o'clock in the home of her daughter,Mrs.W.F.Heinie, 703 William street. She had been in ill health for three months.
Nannie I.Leech was born in Christian county,Jan.2,1857.Her husband, Rev.David O. Giffin was a minister in United Brethren church and generally known throughout central Illinois. His death occurred eight years ago.
She leaves the following named children: Mrs. Lewis Betzer of Argenta, Mrs. Grant Barnes of Ferndale, Wash,D. L.Giffin of Springfield, Lee Giffin, of Monticello, Mrs.W.F. Heinle, Miss Ona Giffin and Miss Dorothy Giffin, also her brothers, Arista and Edward Leech and her sister, Mrs. Louis Koehler of Decatur.
There will be a funeral service in the home of Mrs. Heinle Wednesday morning at 9:30 oclock, conducted by Rev. J.O.Todd and later a service in United Brethren church in Argenta at 11 o'clock conducted by Rev.Mr.Trueblood.
