DOROTHY MAE SUMMERS, age 66, of Manvel, Texas passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at her residence. Dorothy was born on May 16, 1943 in Hearne, Texas and was a resident of Manvel for 28 years. She was a loving wife and mother. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mollie Schedule; and sons, Jeffrey Summers and Nolton Arabie.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Summers; son, Jerrod Summers and wife, Kelly of Missouri City, Texas; sisters: Ima Lou Dodd of Calvert, Texas, JoAnn Sellers of Alvin, Texas, and Barbara Grawnoski of Calvert, Texas; brother, Donald Alford of Alvin, Texas; five grandchildren: Adriane Arabie, Ashley Arabie, Ashlynn Savage, Ty Summers and Faith Summers; three great-grandchildren: RayLee Guerra, Nathan Guerra and Christopher Guerra; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2009 at Scott Funeral Home.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2009 at Scott Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Smith officiating. Interment followed at Confederate Cemetery, Alvin, Texas.
