CARL DONALD ALFORD, age 82 of Alvin, Texas passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 from complications due to heart problems that he had battled for many years. Donald was born on November 9, 1931 in Rosebud, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. He was a crop-duster for 44 years and was a member of Skyview Baptist Church. Donald served proudly in the United Sates Army from 1951-1955 and then in the reserves after. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Molly Alford; sisters, Ruth Ritchie, Dorothy Summers and Ella Faye Wilson; brother, George Alford.

Donald is survived by his wife, Cora Alford; daughter, Jan Alford; son, Randy O'Bryan and wife, Shanda; step-daughter, Marla Holloway and husband, Audie; step-son, Billy Jay Reeves and wife, Christi; sisters, Jo Ann Sellers, Ima Lou Dodd, Barbara Granowski; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Sawyer, Addison, Ashley, Amanda and Billy Joe; 5 great grandchildren, Melanie, Toby, Kyle, Mason and Zaley; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Scott Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery, Alvin, Texas.
