David Godwin Craft was born on Nov. 7, 1874 in Springwood, Va. to Jacob Moore Craft and Amanda Esther Mattheny.
He was a farmer.
He married Lula Nelle Young on March 26, 1900.
They had three boys: Jacob R. Craft (1904-1905); Howard D. Craft (1907-1994); and Melvin Hazlett Craft (1912-1913).
The family attended St. Jacob's Lutheran Church.
He passed away on July 17, 1955.
Interment in St. Jacob's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
