#ALBANY -- Mr. Benny Thomas Baltimore, age 73, of Oakfield, GA, formerly of Duluth, GA, died September 16, 2012 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Albany, GA. Father Stephen Pontzer will officiate. A committal service will be held at the Crossville City Cemetery in Crossville, TN on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM Central time (4:00 PM Eastern time).

#Mr. Baltimore, a native of Crossville, TN, was preceded in death by his father, William Cosby Baltimore, his mother, Elizabeth Agnes Baltimore, his brother, William Cosby Baltimore, Jr. and his sister, Elizabeth Jean Baltimore. He is survived by his daughters, Joannie Waters and her husband, Mike, of Suwanee, GA; Jeannie Gully of Greenville, SC; and Susan Greene and her husband, Bob, of Suwanee, GA; his sisters, Mary Helen Calahan of Crossville, TN and Grace Baltimore Burton and her husband, Fred, of Suwanee, GA; and his grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, & David Waters; Richard, Thomas, and Emma Gully; and Maggie, Tripp, Jack, and Anna Grace Greene.

#Mr. Baltimore was the founder and Corporate Executive of Colonial Lighting in Atlanta for over thirty five years. He moved from Duluth, GA to Oakfield, GA in 1988 where he was the founder and owner of Whispering Pines Plantation. Mr. Baltimore also served in the National Guard.

#He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 3607. He was also a member of the Protective and Benevolent Order of The Elks Lodge # 713, The Loyal Order of The Moose # 1285, and a former member of the National Association of Home Builders.

#The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany, GA.

#In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
