RUSHVILLE - Dottie D. (Gibbs) McDaniel, 62, formerly of Marion, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday in Indiana Heart Hospital, Indianapolis.

Dottie was born in Somerset, Ky., the daughter of the late Robert Mofield and Stella (Thompson) Mofield. She was a lifelong Southern Baptist and an avid Bible reader.

Survivors include children, Gary L. (Tracie) Gibbs, Tammy G. (Roy) Harvey and Juanita M. (Jerry) Costner, all of Marion, Mark A. Gibbs, Fremont, Peggy A. Manley, Rushville, Rhonda G. (Russell) Humphries, Upland, and Angela K. (Al) High, Mount Olive, N.C.; siblings, Lloyd (Linda) Mofield, Bentonville, and Christine Chandler, Rushville; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Dennis J. Gibbs; three brothers; and four sisters.

Services are at noon Saturday in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, with Lloyd Mofield officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery, Marion.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.
