Lloyd T. Mofield, age 70, loving husband, father, PaPaw, uncle and pastor to many, passed away on Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2017) at his residence with family by his side. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on May 24, 1947 to Robert and Stella Mofield. He graduated from Carthage High School, and worked at Visteon for 40 years. His faith was the centerpiece of his life and he pastored at several churches, including 12 years at First Southern Baptist Church in Falmouth, IN. He was most recently a member of Buena Baptist Church. Lloyd was an exceptionally giving person, who always put others first.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Linda (Beeman) Mofield; son Brian (Kelly) Mofield; sister Christine Chandler; grandchildren Zack and Jessica Mofield and Zack and Bridget Garrow; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Edwin, Donald, and Charles Mofield and sisters Edria Gossett, Beulah Owens, Betty Godby, Dottie Gibbs McDaniel, and Sylvia Troxtle.
Services for Lloyd will be held on Friday (Sept. 29, 2017) at 3 p.m. in First Southern Baptist Church (7846 East 600 North, Falmouth, IN 46127). Pastor Rob Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
