Genela Mae Cooper, 82, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Electra.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, 2001, at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Electra with Reverend Jack T. Riley, pastor, officiating, assisted by Reverend Charles Nichols, pastor of Southside Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
She and Cleo Edgar Cooper were married September 14, 1940 in Seymour, Texas.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Electra. She worked several years for Perkins-Timberlake Store in Electra. She also worked for Dickey-McGann and Rowe for several years.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Viavanettee of Burkburnett, Texas; and Sherry Gayle Clubb of Seymour; one sister, Mildred Laney of Seymour; three grandsons, Larry Dale McCubbin of Seymour; Trent Viavanettee of Wichita Falls and Joe Viavanettee of Wichita Falls, Texas.
