Ethel M.(McCreary)Case, 86, 102 E. Franklin St., died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday at the Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born May 20, 1907, in Vevay, she was the daughter of Alva and Letta(Stoops)McCreary. She married Clifford Case in 1925, He preceded her in death in 1963.
Mrs. Case moved to Shelby County in 1912 where she worked as a cafeteria manager for the former Admiral Corp. from 1950 to 1960.
She attended the Waldron Baptist Church as a child.
Survivors are daughters, Mary Lou Haehl, Rays Crossing, Neva Lynn Myers and Janis Sue Vessels, both of Shelbyville; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene McCreary, Franklin, La.
Mrs. McCreary was also preceded in death by a son, three daughters, two sisters, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home with the Rev. William C. Horner officiating.
Private burial will follow.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
