Funeral services, in charge of Rev. Will Grimes were held at the George Matson home, and the remains were laid at rest by the side of her husband in the Oriole cemetery.
Elizabeth Ann Fruit was born in Dewitt county, Illinois, March 23rd 1858 and departed this life at Grand Island on June 29th, 1932, aged 74 years, 3 months and 6 days.
She was united in marriage to John Alexander Anshutz, December 6, 1875. To this union seven children were born, three preceding her in death, Alzina 9 years, Ida aged 38 and Johnnie aged 21.
