Dickinson, 1904; divinity student at Theological Seminary of the Reformed Church; completed education at Univs. of Berlin, Tubingen, Leipzig.

Formerly professor at Franklin and Marshall College; Principal of Keystone State Normal School. Author of several works on education "Thinking, and Learning to
Think," etc.; editor of Pennsylvania School Journal since 1893; wrote introduction to "Hinsdale's Civil Government,' etc.; contributor to theological and educational reviews.

Married in 1880 to Anna Ahlum, of Applebachsville, Pa. President N.E.A. 1905-07; Secretary College and Univ. Council of Pa.; member of Commission for Industrial
