His mother was Nancy Rowe Plessy. She was born 1797 in Edgefield, South Carolina. Adolphus's grave is unmarked- no headstone. He first married Matilda Ann Franks. Children were Nancy, John, Jeremiah, Samuel, and Joshua Adolphus. Married second to Nancy E. Gibson and had one child. Hezekiah Clayton Duplissey.
