Olive Weed Hank was born on March 14, 1834 and is the daughter of Gilbert and Abigail Patton Weed. On October 11, 1855 she married George Berry Hank. After the death of George (as a Union soldier in the Civil War), Olive went to live with her father in Jackson County, Ohio. In 1877, she moved from her father's home to Johnson County, Missouri where she lived with her four sons on a farm adjoining those of her brothers-in-law, Jehu Bratton Hank and John Parsons Hank, and about 2 and one-half miles from the town of Holden. In 1905, she sold her farm and moved to Holden where she lived until her death on October 14, 1908. Source: Myra Hank Rudolph (1932 manuscript) "The Hank Family in America." Volume II, page 52.
