On 16 April 1955, Reeta married Joseph Leo Anglim in Sauk Centre, MN; she was age 21, he was 28. They met three years earlier when she went to work at the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) office in Minneapolis, MN; where Joe started working in 1951 after graduating from college.
Born 28 January 1927 in Kansas City, MO; Joseph was the eighth of nine children {two daughters & seven sons} born to Frank M. & Rose (Purcell) Anglim. He enlisted in the Army at Fort Snelling on 25 June 1945. After WW-II service (& college using the GI Bill) he went on to a career as a National Executive of the Boy Scouts. He was presented the BSA Distinguished Eagle Scout Award for noteworthy performance on a national level; receiving recognition or eminence within his field & having a strong record of voluntary service to his community. NOTE: Only Eagle Scouts who earned the Eagle Scout rank a minimum of 25 years previously are even eligible for nomination.
He died 14 November 2013 in Fort Meyers, Florida at age 86. He also was cremated, but have yet to learn what family chose to do with them.
