She was born June 19, 1930, in Maria Stein, to William and Rose Kaiser Budde. On Sept. 27, 1950, she married Ernest Phlipot who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Bill (Julie) and Tom (Brenda), all of New Bremen, Dan of Conyers, Ga., and Ken (Amy) of Celina; two daughters, Dot (Ron) Scheer, New Bremen, and Deb (Tom) Scroggins, Seabrook, Texas; two brothers, Paul (Sarah) Budde, Bowling Green, Ky., and Bob Budde, Celina; two sisters, Cecilia (Gary) Spoltman, Vandalia, and Barb (Jack) Fetters, Arlington, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.
An infant son, John, and a brother, Walter Budde, are deceased.
She retired from Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen, in 1986 after 16 years. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 241, both of New Bremen, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1391, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
