VERNON ROWE

Vernon Eugene Rowe, 68, of Ironton died June 5, 2005, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Ironton native was born April 18, 1937, the son of William "Bill" and Mae Sanders Rowe. He retired after 19 years as a custodian for Ironton Eages 895 and attended Kelley's Bridge School. He was a member of the VFW Post 8850 men's Auxiliary, the Ashland Eagles 3585 and the Flatwoods American Legion 0325.
He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Harley Rowe, Samuel Rowe and Willard "Red" Rowe.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles and Bernard Rowe, and one sister, Frances Rowe Willis, all of Ironton.
His mother named him Vernon, after Dr Vernon Woods.
