Mr. Rowe was born January 19, 1887 in Lawrence County, son of the late Miles & Mary Rowe. He was married in 1908 to Bertha Webb, who died in 1919.
In 1920 he was married to Mrs. Mae Saunders Rowe, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Anderson, of Ruidoso, N.M., Mrs. Helen Sunier, of South Point and Mrs. Frances Willis of Ironton; seven sons, Alvin of Tuscon, Ariz., Harley of Kelly's Bridge, Willard, Vernon, Charles and Bernard Lee all of Ironton and Sam Rowe, serving in the Armed Forces; One brother, Hiram Rowe of Ironton; four sisters, Mrs. Pearly Grant of Michigan, and Mrs. Janie Hanshaw, Mrs. Mary Saunders and Mrs. Annabelle Lewis of Ironton; 33 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
The body is at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 am in the funeral home with Rev. Calvin Evans and Rev. Ray Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4pm.
