Opal Aline Stout was the daughter of John Charles Fremont Stout and Sarah 'Sallie' Elizabeth Gilkey Stout. She married Robert 'Jack' Quelch in Chicago about 1908. They had two daughters, Florence Hazel and Mildred. According to Cook County Death Records she died 23 Nov 1914 at age 30.

No record has been found of her daughter Florence Hazel born 3 Jan 1907 but her 1 year old daughter Mildred Quelch was adopted by her Cousin, D. Lafayette 'Lafe' and his wife Mae Stout. She was listed as Mildred Stout on the Census.

D. Lafayette 'Lafe' was the son of Lafayette 'Pete' and Mary A. Grey Stout. Lafe and Mae had no children of their own to our knowledge.

The Cook County Death Records say that Opal Aline Quelch was buried in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.
