Mrs. Clarence Lemke, 53, of the town of Sherwood, died Wednesday evening at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton. Funeral services will be Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran church, Hilbert. The Rev. Kenneth Weber will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lemke, nee Hildegarde Anhalt, was born Feb. 12, 1915, at Kiel, daughter of Clemens and the late Alma Gast Anhalt. She was married to Clarence Lemke May 1, 1934 at Hilbert. The couple took residence and farmed at Sherwood. She was chairwoman of the town of Harrison Farm Bureau, a member of Ladies Aid and L.W.M.L. Society.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Marvin of Appleton and Richard of Sherwood, three daughters, Mrs. Curtis (Carol) Tetzen of Milwaukee, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Stecker of Oak Creek and Mrs. William (Elaine) Kielgas of Tahcheedah; her father of Kiel; three brothers, Jerome and Frederick of Sheboygan and Alfred of Kiel; two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert Schnell of Sheboygan and Mrs. Frank Jost of Kiel, and seven grandchildren.
