Rossie Lee Hepler was born to Alvin (Boss) Columbus Lunsford and Cordia Money Lunsford on May 8, 1925 in Wilkes County. She was the widow of James McKinley Hepler. She and her son Kenneth lived in Hamptonville, NC until 2009.

Rossie was survived by one son and two daughters. Rossie was also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
