Henry Dean Ellison, 74, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.
Henry was born in Riesel, Texas on September 16, 1937, the son of the late Henry Baily Ellison and Annie Irene (Bell) Ellison. He married Mamilyn McManus on June 26, 1959 in Rockdale, Texas.
Henry and his wife moved to La Grange in 1978. He was employed as an ER Technician at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was also a shift supervisor for L.C.R.A., a reserve officer for the La Grange Police Department and a paramedic for the Fayette County EMS.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mamilyn (McManus) Ellison; three sons: Russell Ellison and wife, Mary, of Antioch, CA, Bruce Ellison and wife, Sandra, of La Grange, Bradley Ellison and wife, Claudia, of Houston; three sisters: Irene and Billie Speer both of Marquez, and Hartense Rogers and husband, Leslie, of Austin; brother, Hugo Ellison and wife, Pansy, of Marquez; eight grandchildren: Amber, Ashley, Aric, Austen, Hunter, Haley, Walker, and Cordale Ellison; four great grandchildren: C.J., Vanessa, Hazel, and Ryder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law: Lenton and Benton Speer.
