(ROANOKE) Services for Eula Mae Carr, 88, of Roanoke, formerly of Woodland, were Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Ricky Emery and the Rev. Gary Baugh officiating. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mrs. Carr died Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Traylor Nursing Home in Roanoke.
Mrs. Carr was a native of Randolph County, born May 16, 1913, daughter of Warren A. Mitchum and Ophelia Bowen Mitchum. She had been employed with Handley Mills and was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carr is survived by a son, Eugene T. Carr of Twin Lakes, Mich.; a grandson; a granddaughter; and a sister Eunice Alsabrooks of Prattville.
Pallbearers were Keenan Moon, Luke Moon, Ed Mitchum, Shane Lasseter, Gerald Gosdin and T. W. Moore.
Arrangements were by Benefield Funeral Home, Wedowee.
