Suggested edit: "The splendid Mander Organ made in London for the reconstruction of the Church of St. Mary, Aldermanbury in the 1960s, was placed in the memory of Philip D. Thurmond by his daughter Sarah P. Robertson Hermann, and his son-in-law Grover M. Hermann. Organists of great talent come from all over the world for the honor of giving voice to this mighty, singular organ.

The 17th century church stood in the City of London on Love Lane just north of St. Paul's Cathedral. Nazi war planes bombed it into ruin on the night of 19 Dec 1940. On 4 March 1946, Winston S. Churchill spoke at Westminster College, in Fulton, MO warning the world of the growing menace of Communism, giving this menace a name that would be remembered: The Iron Curtain. The National Churchill Museum in the United States of America stands today, honoring this great statesman and his great contribution to world peace.a"
