SARAH T. HERMANN:
Sarah T. Hermann, 80, of Pebble Beach, California, died Sunday, December 17, 1995, from complications resulting from arthritis.
Mrs. Hermann was born in Fulton, Missouri, graduated from Fulton High School and attended William Woods University before beginning her business career in Chicago, where she was later employed by the American-Marietta Company.
She married Grover M. Hermann on October 27, 1945 and established the Grover Hermann Foundation of Chicago in the 1950's. Together they made contributions to educational, industrial, medical, public and social causes. She served as president of this foundation after her husbands death on May 4, 1979.
She is survived by her sisters, Harriett R. Thurmond of Pebble Beach and Mary Tracy Akins of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
No services were held as she requested. Burial will be at the Hermann family plot at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Visiting Nurses Association, the Hospice of the Central Coast or to the donors choice.
