She attended schools in Alva, graduating from Alva High School in 1944. She then moved to Oklahoma City where she entered Nursing School at the Wesley School of Nursing under the Cadet Nurse program. She received her diploma in Nursing in 1947. She met her husband-to-be two months before her graduation and they were married three months later.

Areline married John Thomas Bolerjack on August 13, 1947. They were married for 57 years when John died in 2005. John stayed in the military until he retired in 1962. During this time, they lived in several different states. Areline worked in the hospitals in many of the cities where they lived. They lived in Oklahoma City until John retired from FAA. In 1977, they moved to Grand Lake where they lived for seven years. She and John traveled coast-to-coast and border-to-border for 3 ½ years in a RV. They settled in Enid and lived there for eleven years. They moved to Blackwell in 1998 because of John's health.

Areline was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a knowledgeable Bible student and taught Sunday School classes some of the places where they lived and several places taught Bible study classes in her home. Areline wrote a weekly column, a Bible lesson, for the Blackwell Journal Tribune called Something Special for about 14 years. She was an avid reader and loved to cook.
