He was born in St-David d'Yamaska, to Ovide Ritchotte and Elmire Gingras. His family migrated to the US in 1892. He stayed in the states of New York and Vermont between 1923 and 1927, before resettling in Chicopee MA. He was a painter.

He was married 1st to Beatrice Bassett, June 16, 1913 in Chicopee MA; 2nd to Florence St. Laurent, c. 1944, Chicopee MA.

OBITUARY:
Aime J. Ritchotte, 84, formerly of Shaine Circle, Springfield, a self employed painter, died Wednesday in a local nursing home. Born in Quebec, Canada, he lived here 50 years and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He leaves six sons, Edward Richards of Longmeadow, Gene T. of Trenton N.J., Raymond Richards of Lansing, Mich., Philip Richards of Arkansas, John of Florida, and Aime J. Jr of Springfield, four daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Teece of California, Mrs. Muriel Heath, Mrs. Faye Woods and Mrs. Jacqueline Kenny, all of Spingfield, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Beaupre of Aldenville. The funeral will be Saturday in St. Rose de Lima Church, Aldenville. Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery.
