Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 12 at 1 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Beck is survived by five children, Drexel Beck of Dunwoody, Ga., Debra (Harold) Aikens and Jeff (Teresa) Beck, both of Beulah, and Cindy Yancey and Kyn Beck, both of Valley; two sisters, Faye Senn of Montgomery, Ala., and Peggy Smith of Alexander City, Ala. three brothers, Tony Beck of Beulah, Colen Beck and Court Beck, both of Lake Harding Community; nine grandchildren, Joseph Aikens, Jason (Miyoung) Aikens, Jonathan (Tara) Aikens, Lesley Yancey, Lacey Yancey, John J. Yancey, Christopher Beck, Phillip Beck and Jessica Beck; and one great-grandchild, C. J. Hattaway.
Born April 21, 1925 in Fairfax, Mr. Beck was a lifelong resident of the Valley area and a avid fisherman, University of Alabama fan and wood worker. He had retired from Uniroyal in Opelika in 1987, and had 27 years of service with the company. He had been in declining health for the past month. Mr. Beck was the son of the late Estelle Snowden Beck and Charles E. Beck.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Cancer Center at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, in his memory.
The Family will receive friends Thursday, December 11 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
